Bob McMahon Grade: 12

1.When did you first become involved in the Arts?

I have been involved with theater since I can remember! Music and the performing arts have been a huge part of my life and continue to be!

2.What/Who influenced you to become involved in the Arts?

When I was about six, I saw my first Broadway musical, The Phantom of the Opera. The music of Andrew Lloyd Webber and the deep and complex character of the Phantom influenced me to become a musical actor. 

3.Do you participate in the Arts outside of school (WPP)?

I have been involved in several local community theater productions and performances. I have been in an estimated 50+ productions and performances.   

4.What other hobbies do you have?

I enjoy hanging out with friends, listening and playing music, watching T.V. and movies, playing video games, and just being a teenager.

5.What productions were you in with the WPP?

The Miracle Worker, Into the Woods, The Laramie Project, Bye Bye Birdie, A View From the Bridge, and Cats!

6.What productions were you in outside of the WPP?

Oklahoma! (Count Basie Theater/ Phoenix Productions), Scrooge (Springlake Community Theater) Kiss Me, Kate, Joseph…Dreamcoat, The Pajama Game, and Seussical (Thompson Park Community Theater Aka The Barn).

7.What have been your most memorable experiences during your time with the WPP?

My freshman year in The Miracle Worker during one of the dress rehearsal, the director, Mr. A., interrupted my scene and yelled “Start acting!”

8.What kind of advice would you give a prospective West Park Player?

Take everything seriously and don’t goof around. Do what you’re told and don’t talk back, that way you will never get yelled at.

9.Do you plan to continue your involvement in the Arts after you graduate?

Absolutely!

10.Where do you draw your inspiration from to act?

To be honest, I have always wanted to perform. There isn’t one thing that inspired me to become an actor. However, the character that I am playing, their actions and inner most thoughts always inspire me to become that person.

11.What do you see yourself doing in 10 years?

Working in New York on the Broadway Stage!

Katherine Ripley Grade: 11

1.When did you first become involved in the Arts?

When I was ten and I was in Grease at OTHS

2. What/Who influenced you to become involved in the Arts?

My Mom

3. Do you participate in the Arts outside of school (WPP)?

No

4. What other hobbies do you have?

Writing, piano, singing

5. What productions were you in with the WPP?

Grease, Annie, The Laramie Project, Bye Bye Birdie, A View From the Bridge

6. What productions were you in outside of the WPP?

None

7. What have been your most memorable experiences during your time with the WPP?

Performing at the paramount theater, and winning the Basie award for Best Production for the Laramie Project

8. What kind of advice would you give a prospective West Park Player?

 You should absolutely join the club because it's a wonderful experience

9. Do you plan to continue your involvement in the Arts after you graduate?

Yes

10. Where do you draw your inspiration from to act?

Katharine Hepburn (i was named after her.

11. What do you see yourself doing in 10 years? In ten years

I will be a famous author/ screenwriter/actress...hopefully

Kim Alexis Kallok Grade: 9

1. When did you first become involved in the Arts?

I first went on stage when I was three years old and grew to love it.

2. What/Who influenced you to become involved in the Arts?

My family always supported and encouraged my love for the Arts.

3. Do you participate in the Arts outside of school (WPP)

No, not at this time.

4. What other hobbies do you have?

I enjoy playing soccer and basketball, reading a good book, and babysitting.

5. What productions were you in with the WPP?

 I was excited to be part of “Ah, Wilderness.” This wasl my first production with the WWP.

6. What productions were you in outside of the WPP?

Beauty and the Beast as “Belle” at TOIS

High School Musical as “Susan” at TOIS

Gone with the Breeze as “Esther” at TOIS

7. Do you plan to continue your involvement in the Arts after you graduate? Yes.

8. What do you see yourself doing in 10 years?

I would love to be on Broadway or on the big screen.
